Taquitos & Flautas

I am hooked on the Chicken Taquitos. These are nice sized taquitos filled with chicken breast...and boy, they are not skimpy! On a bed of refreshing lettuce, and topped with cheese, guac and cream sauce, I can't get enough. This is my weekly treat! :-)

Bean & Cheese Burrito

The item I ordered is not on your list. I ordered the "combination burrito" supposedly containing refried beans, ground beef, cheese and some kind of unusual sauce that had a muted, maybe sour vinegar taste, Not sure what it was, but not good and the sauce left a bad taste in my mouth for several hours. Forget about the bad taste factor. Now about flavor. The restaurant Pepe's has the very best refried bean flavor probably in California. I have friends that didn't really care for refried beans that add to their order of other items a straight bean and cheese burrito from Pepe's because of the great flavor. BTW, their hot sauces are flat out great. Your crew, when I paid and they handed me the burrito, did not even ask me if I wanted any hot sauce to go. This never happens at all of the other restaurants! They weren't busy as I was the only customer in the store. El Molino De Oro now in Orange and always in San Juan Capistrano is second, We lived in Dana Point for 10 years and El Molino is outstandingly great and had customers from San Clemente, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano and Mission Viejo, The clientele was predominantly non Hispanic. They have bang for buck as well as quality and serving amounts. El Chavo restaurant in Yorba Linda is third and Burrito Brothers 4th in this review. Your bean flavor is just average. Home cooks make the same. Bang for the buck is certainly not available at Burrito Bros. I think that you guys think that your trendy menu board and restaurant attitude warrants higher prices. The burrito I ordered was 9 bucks and cost way less that 2 bucks to make. Let's face it Mexican and Italian food are cheap to make. My Italian Grandmother could make a great Italian dinner for a buck fifty! The burrito was supposed to be a combination burrito but was more like a straight bean and cheese burrito. Beef was a mystery. I have lived in Yorba Linda for 17 years and will say that today's visit to your trendy, trying desperately to be upscale Mexican food joint is not worth the extra dollars you guys are charging for your not so upscale food. The burrito I ordered was average with an unusual taste. There is much better food to be had at the other restaurants listed in this review and at bang for our buck prices. Today's visit to the Burrito Bros. will be my last. My prediction is that your restaurant will soon become the "Flying Burrito Bros" as you fly out of town.

Burrito

My go-to is the "ChiliRito," which essentially a chili-cheese burrito. It is absolutely delicious, and I have ordered it for both breakfast and lunch on separate occasions. Their ingredients are so fresh and tasty. Trick is, the ChiliRito is NOT on the online menu, but you can find it inside the Yorba Linda restaurant. Support local, and give Burrito Brothers a try. You will NOT be disappointed, and you will become an immediate fan...trust me!
